Daily Creative Checklist
We had a pretty busy holiday season, but I was able to squeek in a little time to think about 2026 - and I’m choosing to be hopeful and excited about all that will unfold this year. Two things that are at the forefront of my mind are: one, slow down, and two, create more. I don’t know about you, but I tend to get pretty distracted with the regular day-to-day tasks and activities. Sometimes I’ll be so busy (or distracted) by the end of the day, I’ll look back and think, ‘what did I actually do today?’
In 2026, I want to slow down, be present, and create more.
I knew to get this done, I would need a bit of help to keep my distracted brain on track, so I created a Daily Creative Challenge! Every week, I want to take 5 days and commit to being creative. The three things I want to add to my week are sketching, creating, and writing.
I would love for you to join me! Follow the link below to download your own Daily Creative Checklist, the download has space for you to choose 5 days each week you want to be creative for the next four weeks. The download comes with two PDFs; you can either use the prefilled chart, with my goals: sketching, creating, and writing, or you can use the blank chart where you can fill in your own creative goals. With each download, you will get creative encouragement from me, via email and inside the Jane’s Daughter Facebook group.
Each day, I also added a column for noticing. I can’t want to keep track of things I notice as I go through this process. I am committing to a minimum of 5 minutes for each catagory, thats 20 minutes, that's NOTHING in the grand scheme of our busy day. Surely we can all find 20 minutes to step out of the things we ‘have’ to do and spend some time doing the things we ‘want’ to do! I hope you’ll join me and add a little more creativity and peace to your world.
